Psalm 119 v105-128
Lord cause me by your grace to walk in your ways. Make me to despise all that is evil so that it will become awful in my sight. Lord by your grace I can be close to you. The desire of my heart is to know you more each day. Lately I have been overwhelmed with the demands of this world. Make your glory known in my life that the distractions of this world will have no sway on me. Thank you Lord that you are in full control and it has not been left in my hands to determine my justification.

Psalm 119 v65-72
Psalm 119
Lord I pray I may remain in your word. That I will not rest on my own idols. Please Lord let my joy be only in you. May I never put you together with anything else. Help me to learn your word because you are good. Do not let the actions of other deter me from your word. Let me delight in your law. Suffering brings reliance upon the Lord and helps us to know that you value your children's sanctification rather than their comfort. You Lord are better than any pleasure or wealth this world could ever imagine.

Lord you have let me follow you by your grace. Please grant me favor in your sight and let me be the example to the people I come in contact with of a true Christ follower. Psalm 119 v41-48
Psalm 119
41 - Wait for the everlasting love of the Lord, He has promised to bring it to you according to His promise.
42 - What kind of answer is the salvation of the Lord to those who taunt me? I trust His word and that means the one who taunts me can never have final victory. Nothing he does is eternal. What a great promise the Lord has given us.
43 - How can I hope in the "rules" of God and not become like the Pharisees? To fear the Lord taking the truth out of my mouth.
44-45 - How can I seek the law continually, forever and ever? The only way I know is by His grace alone. What does it mean to walk in a wide place? We must pursue knowledge of the Holy One.
46-48 - When I delight in the Word of the Lord, I have no shame to tell of His fame before kings. For the one that knows that lasting Joy is in Christ alone the pleasure of seeing God's name glorified brings great lasting satisfaction. Please let us know your word Lord so that we may have your words when we go before kings.

Psalm 119 - Verses 17-24
Psalm 119
Verses 17-24
When we ask for the Lord to give us in abundance, we do not picture the end result being "that I may live and keep your word." Such our the ways of the Lord, He will give greatly when it concerns are being more like him. The next verse shows that by his grace alone we are able to "behold wondrous things" in His Word. Next we see that we are only here for a short time so we beg the Lord to not hide his commandments from us. Then in verse 20 with the power of the Holy Spirit our soul can be "consumed with longing" for His Word. Finally the section ends saying, no matter what the world is plotting against me. No matter what the evil ones want to accomplish. Lord keep me in you will because you are my delight.

Psalm 117
Psalm 117
How can all the nations praise the Lord if they do not hear? If every American would actually stop watching TV long enough to actually listen. They would discover they are called to work toward completing the Great Commission. The scariest thing should not be that God sends you to Africa or the Middle East. The scariest thing should be ignoring God's Word.
Why is it so important to change the way we think about the nations? Verse 2 says it, "great is his steadfast love toward us." If his love is steadfast or preservation than why waste the short time we have to do missions with a mundane job, political fights at church, and planting flowers and mowing your lawn? Our American mindset would seem like madness to Paul and to any early believer. There would be great concern whether Christ was our Lord or not, and maybe there should be.

Anyone that is saved can sing the sweet Psalm, "I love the LORD, because he has heard my voice and my pleas for mercy." The Lord has made us free. We should praise him forever. The Lord is our God and I will give thanks in all situations.
Lord please give me the desire to praise you with my life everyday. It is too easy to get into a routine of not recognizing your hand in every breath of my life. Forgive me for not seeking what is best and desiring only what is slightly good. Lord make me to pursue Christ with passion.

Lord you alone have the power to part the seas and rivers. Only you can move mountains and hills. Do not let us trust in our own strength. The world tells us to do it all on our own. You Lord will get the glory when what is only you happens, but you Lord control the finest detail of our lives. You have provided each little thing we need. From the shade to cool us from the heat of the sun to the passion to see your Son worshiped in all the ends of the world. Psalm 112
Psalm 112
For the righteous will never be moved he will be remembered forever. (v6)
The desire of the wicked will perish. (v10)
These 2 lines stood out to me the most in this Psalm. I do not have righteousness that will last forever. Without Christ nothing of me could be deemed righteous. I still desire things that will perish. Does that make me wicked? Apart from Christ nothing I have done is immovable.
This give me a couple of thoughts. How could I ever stop praising Christ for giving me righteousness that will lead to eternal glory and joy in what can never be destroyed? Additionally, why would I ever waste time desiring things that will perish?
Lord work in me each day to trust in what is forever and hope for your glory more and more each day. Remove from me the desires of the wicked. So that your name will be glorified in my life each day.

Lord, do I really despise the wickedness in the world? It seems downright ruthless what David call on the Lord to do in verses 6-15. Can we cry out to God in this way and not have sinful anger in our hearts? I think it is beyond me. Can I share my heart with the Lord the way David does? I hope someday I can pour myself out to the Lord.

Without the Lord victory of man is impossible. We cannot beat our own sin. Every sin avoided by us is empowered by God. Any righteousness that we have has been given by Christ. Without the ability to do anything on my own I must trust the LORD!

Psalm 107
BibleGateway.com Psalm 107
The Lord will cause the desert to be fruitful to feed the hungry. God will feed those that hunger for him from the desolate land. God does not need good soil to cause something to grow. He speaks and there is food. Spiritually we are to hunger for the Lord, and I take this part of this Psalm to mean he may take us to the dry desert but that is wear we will see him truly work. God will work in a place where we do not need anything but him and there we will see the Glory of God.

Psalm 106
BibleGateway.com -Psalm 106
How could I look down at the seemingly stupid rebellion of the Israelites during the Old Testament? I think things like, man if I lived back then there is no way I would be so dumb. Not so fast.
With mounting unbelief in God's promises I am just as bad as the rebellion at the Red Sea or before they entered into the Promised Land the first time. Here is how (for me personally):
1. I do not trust the Lord when I worry about how to pay all the bills.
2. I rebel when I insist on my notions of doing what is right over what God has put before me.
3. I rebel when I do not get into His Word daily.
4. I bow to idols when I let a TV schedule determine when I will worship.
5. I bow to idols when I let the world define to me what is important in this life.
Lord deal with my unbelief. Thank you for showing me your mercy and love when I deserve to be crushed then zapped off your earth. Praise to the Lord, the Glorious One, your grace is sufficient for me.

Psalm 104
The sovereignty of God displayed in creation is something when truly looked at causes his people to fall on their face in worship! How long will the biologist look at the marvels of God creatures and deny him his glory. How long will the physicist record the intricacies of his universe and deny him praise? How could we all not praise out loud that the earth is not covered in water once again? Or the Mountains haven’t fallen on us or that we have air to breath. Praise the Lord for he has opened my eyes to see the true glory in His creation it tells of his power, sovereignty and amazing grace.

Psalm 103
Psalm 103
Bless the Lord O my soul!
I love that verse. Whenever I feel far from the Lord, I can tell my soul to bless Him. To Honor His name! For those that fear the Lord, our sins are removed as far as the east is from the west. We do not get what we deserve. We do not get punished for our sins; the Lord has removed them so that we may be reconciled to him. For that we may never stop blessing the name of the Lord!
The utmost joy in this life is knowing Christ. He frees us from slavery. He raises us from the dead. He makes us God’s children. None of that will surpass the joy of seeing him in person one day. To behold the glory of the almighty Lord is our greatest joy and all praise goes to the Lord because it will last for eternity.

Psalm 102
Psalm 102
How many times when I have been so far from God that I was crying out for him not to hide His face from me? We know in our minds that He is always there but our minds are disconnected from out hearts. We don’t “feel” God there. What does the Psalm show as the solution to this problem? He starts to remind himself of the truth about God’s faithfulness and sovereignty.
His faithfulness (verses 13, 16, 20) and his sovereignty (verses 12, 18-20, 25-28) are nuggets of tasty truth that nourish our souls in times of “spiritual drought”.
I want to be in full force faith all my life and I never again want to be in the low times of my life. I know that God used them to make me more like His Son. Since I am not completed or obtained it yet, those times are sure to come again. I ask the Lord to renew His strength in me again. Daily. Hourly. Moment by moment.

Psalm 101
Psalm 101 (ESV)1 I will sing of steadfast love and justice; to you, O Lord, I will make music.2 I will ponder the way that is blameless. Oh when will you come to me? I will walk with integrity of heart within my house;3 I will not set before my eyes anything that is worthless. I hate the work of those who fall away; it shall not cling to me.4 A perverse heart shall be far from me; I will know nothing of evil.5 Whoever slanders his neighbor secretly I will destroy. Whoever has a haughty look and an arrogant heart I will not endure.6 I will look with favor on the faithful in the land, that they may dwell with me; he who walks in the way that is blameless shall minister to me.7 No one who practices deceit shall dwell in my house; no one who utters lies shall continue before my eyes.8 Morning by morning I will destroy all the wicked in the land, cutting off all the evildoers from the city of the Lord.
Thoughts
This is the pledge of a man who hopes to live his life for God. How many times do I try to say I will do this and that? I am glad today to know it is up to God’s will and not my own for my successfully being sanctified. Still we must we must be able to identify and fight the sin in our lives and around us. There are important truths to learn from this Psalm about fighting sin.

There are important truths to learn from this Psalm about fighting sin.
- Meditate on God’s ways, seek out his will! v. 2
- Do not look at what is worthless; do not let the unrighteous acts of lost people stick to you. The devil wants nothing more to keep bad influence on you through the lost people around you. v. 3
- Stay far away from what will make you lust (perverse heart). v. 4
- Do not reward evil and recognize the faithful. Verses 5-6
- Do not let evildoers and liars corrupt your household! Verse 7

Psalm 100
Psalm 100
The whole earth is commanded to make a joyful noise to the Lord. (v. 1) Everything on earth owes its existence to the Lord. The rocks will cry out and Lord we pray the nations will soon.
When I serve I must serve with gladness. The Lord is most glorified when I am most satisfied in Him. Therefore show my satisfaction with his glorious deeds by being glad!
I belong to the Lord! May I never forget that he is a Holy God and he raised my like Lazarus out of the grave. Praise and glory to the Lord God Almighty forever!
For this I can never stop being thankful. Thank you for my life, thank you for my wife, my child, my dog and everything good thing comes from you Lord, I deserve to be in hell right now but you have lavished your gifts upon me.
Lord you are so good and your love will extend to all generations. Raise up my daughter to love you above all other things. Thank you Jesus for your goodness.

Psalm 99
BibleGateway.com Psalm 99
Fear the reign of the Lord. We should fear God. I always have a hard time understanding fear of the Lord. I am not scared the Lord will take his Son from me. I believe his promises to me are real. So what does it mean for a Christian to fear the Lord? Is it respectful awe? Is it related to humility? I am in awe of God's great power. I need daily to be humble before his throne. I do not treat the Lord like some secondary citizen or even as equal to another person. The Lord our God is One, the creator of all the earth and the heavens. To fear him is to know his holiness? Maybe? The Lord is set apart from us all. He is so many things we cannot understand. Our limited ability is unable to ever comprehend his ways. How can you fit the creator within the created. He is greater than I could ever be. How can I see the beginning from the end if I do not have eternity as my backdrop?
The Lord is feared here, because he is awesome, holy and glorious.

Psalm 98
Psalm 98
Interesting: His right hand and his holy arm have worked salvation for him.
Jesus sits at the right hand of God. The work for salvation is done be Him! Yet to be found is how our choice has resulted in God’s favor and salvation.
Music is God’s creation and should be used to glorify his name. People who deny the role of music in praise deny the truth of God’s Word.
Even if our instruments are silent God will cause the sea and the rivers and the hills to praise him.
Thank you Lord, you made yourself known to me. I pray I make good use of your things you have trusted to me.

Lord your salvation should be told to all the peoples. Their gods and idols are worthless and you created the heavens.
I pray that we will ascribe all due glory and strenght to our Lord Jesus.
3 things I notice in this Psalm:
1. Praise the Lord for he is the one true realy God, he is the creator of all things.
2. Since the Lord is who he is, we should tell the nations "The LORD reigns!" v10
3. Be joyful because the Lord is coming and he will judge in righteousness and faithfulness.

Lord I pray that I may worship you fully everyday. You are my rock. I thank you for everything, and praise you for your mercy and kindness. All that there is, is yours.
Do not let me harden my heart dear Lord. Make me a the man after your own heart. Make live on faith and joyous at the sound of your name!
Do not let me run on my own power. Make me to trust in your ways and feed on your word day and night.

Psalm 94
BibleGateway.com Psalm 94
How long will we wait for the Lord to come to bring His wrath to the wicked who deserve it? We will always ask this question. Until he comes. We do not know the time and the place. The Lord wants us to wait on Him. Hope in Him. We know that victory will be won. We know that the Lord our God will wipe them out. How does having that fact actually translate into my life? How does having that truth in my heart actually impact my way of doing things?
Three questions I have to help:
1. If God has promised victory and vengeance over His enemies, what am I afraid of?
2. If the wicked will face the wrath of God why do I even begin to treasure the same things they treasure? Why do the lures of this world EVER catch my eye? Even if for just a fleeting moment?
3. What else stops us from standing up against the wicked?

Psalm 93
BibleGateway.com Psalm 93
Our God is not a weak God. He wears strength as his belt. He has established the way and his throne will never be moved. That means that from the very beginning God knew exactly what his plan was, exactly who he would save and everything in between. Not a single thing can happen outside of his power. If it happens he let it happen. Even the evil, which he turns for the good of those you hope in him and is justified reward to those who reject him.
His Decrees are very trustworthy! Get into God's word! The answers are there. Make it your delight to learn his wonderful Word and holiness will follow. You will never be completed on this side of heaven but one day it will be so glorious to stand in the presence of the Almighty, Awesome and Glorious Christ!

Lord, Praise you in the morning. Forgive me Lord for letting so many mornings pass without praising you. Am I really made glad by your work? If I was would I be more consistent. Lord hear my pray that I want to worship you everyday. Give me the energy and strength to rise and worship you Lord. Give me the desire to do nothing else besides worship you.

Psalm 91
BibleGateway.com Psalm 91
I almost ignored the time I have to read today. Then a friend brought up the events of the past week and how Satan is trying to divide our church. She said she was praying Psalm 91 for our Pastor. Guess that I was supposed to read today? The day of the big meeting.
My prayer is this: Lord protect our staff, Lord give them rest in your shadow. That you alone will be their fortress and not tradition or human power struggles.
I pray that they will not fear the night (v5) even though it may be closing in all around them. Keep them standing for your name in this plague of evil that has overtaken such people in our church.
I ask the Lord for no harm or disaster to come upon them. God's angels are being commanded to fight in this battle.
I ask you Lord Jesus for their delivery from this struggle and that you will be glorified.
I ask for those that have given into the evil one and started such division and have neglected your word to be brought into repentance. Lord soften their hearts of stone. Replace their hatred and anger with love and mercy.
Thank you Lord for your power is real and you alone can command and resolve this situation.

Psalm 89
BibleGateway.com - Psalm 89
Lord your love lasts forever.
Lord your wonderful and glorious deeds go on forever and ever. Thank you for the miracle you did in my heart to make me go from dead to alive. My soul was bound for hell and yet you saved me in your grace. Thank you Jesus for the Cross, for bearing me shame. I pray you will continue to work out my salvation to sanctify me, make me more like you.
You will punish iniquity with the rod.
Let us be mindful of your wrath Lord. Please lead us not into temptation and deliver us from all evil. I pray that I will rely on your strength to resist the devil and his schemes. He enjoys bringing men down and defaming Christ. He has no victory here and I pray we will never cease to trust in your faithfulness.
How long until your justice is made complete.
Lord poor out your wrath on the wicked of this world. Remove the powers that are preventing your name to be preached in countries across the world. I pray you destroy all evil and false ideologies that are based on man's ideas and not yours. I pray that those bearing your name in these places will be sharing your glorious Gospel with the people you have chosen.
All praise and glory to Christ our Lord.

Psalm 88
BibleGateway.com Psalm 88
Could this be the dark times in the life of a Christian? Is it punishment for a sin? Is it refining fire to work out our salvation? Whatever it is all Christians go through times of despair, discouragment and depression. You call out to God and he is not answering. You look for your friends and all you have is darkness. O Lord do not let us miss the blessings of these times! Romans 8:28 And we know that for those who love God all things work together for good, for those who are called according to his purpose.
So if we are called by God and part of his elect he is working in all things for good. Is it possible to know that good from our limited perspective? In these times no. One day the Lord will return and we will know the purpose of our suffering. For now, rejoice O my soul and praise him. You were dead but are now alive.
Can changing our focus actually bring us through these times of darkness? It does not work on a formula. Do A plus B to get C. God does what he pleases and these times will last exactly as long as it pleases him. So Lord we pray for your return. We pray to be more like you even if it requires time of suffering and darkness. You are the God of light and truth and you will make us to perservere through these times of struggle to be glorified in your presence one day. All of that Glory will reflect to you the most amazing and wondorous and awesome God. Praise be to the Lord Jesus Christ forever and ever!

Psalm 87
BibleGateway.com Psalm 87
Matthew Henry indicates that this speaks of God establishing His people, Christ's Church. The church is more glorious than all the nations. It is important to dwell on "the Most High himself will establish her".
Even though God has given us the evangelistic commission, we do not build His people. He alone establishes the church. We do not need to wonder if we said the wrong thing and now someone will go to hell. You do not have that much power. This is a fact that is liberating! By joyful and know that all you have to do is preach the Gospel. God makes the hearing. God makes the repentance. God creates the new life in Christ! Be free of the pressure to save the world and take the name of Christ to every corner of the earth!

Psalm 86
BibleGateway.com Psalm 86
Does the Lord preserve our life because we are godly? Or does He act because we trust in Him?
The psalmist gives all glory to God for delivering his soul. So it is safe to interpret he does not mean God has shown him favor on his own merit or potential for godliness. Rather he gives thanks and cries out for grace from God. Knowing you can bring nothing to the table with God. You have nothing to offer. Not even the ability to know he is better than all things on your own. This humbles you and forces you to realize your place in relation to the one and only God. So whatever you thought you did to get saved, you didn't. All the work was done for you so that you could never boast.

BibleGateway.com Psalm 85
Lord you have revived us many times before. Bring back your fire to the hearts of the church here in America. We are watching the world die and are not worried because Lost is on tonight, CSI on Thursday and Football on Saturday and Sunday.
Lord let us break free from the numbness of the novocaine that is American culture. Restore the church again and bring revival to this land. Cause you people to raise your banner and take your name to the ends of the earth. Do not let us turn back to folly (v8). The Lord will give what is good (v12). I pray we will seek Jesus with all we have.

Psalm 84
BibleGateway.com Psalm 84
Long for the true satisfaction that only come in the presence of the Most High God. The True Living God will not withhold any good thing from those you walk uprightly. Lord I pray that I will trust you with all my heart. That I will bare fruit to give testimony to the faith you have put in me. Your ways are better than all other ways. Lord make your name known to the nations that they may repent of the wickedness and lift up and praise the name of Jesus Christ the Risen and Holy One. For the sake of your name Lord Jesus reduce governments to nothing and advance your church. For your glory change the hearts of those consumed by false and evil ideologies.
May the Name of the Lord be praised forever.

Psalm 83
BibleGateway.com Psalm 83
When all the world rises up against God's people he will protect them. We do not fight against flesh and blood but our suffering will win more to God's kingdom. No persecution will ever succeed in the long term. God's will always prevails. We already know how it will all end.
Lord let us in America begin to realize that there will be a time to have all the best. The things of this decaying world are going to pass but the steadfast love of the Lord is eternal. The good pleasure and joy of being with Jesus will last forever. It will never end! So throw down the shackles of this consumer driven world and suffer if you must for just a little while so that the number of God's people will increase and He will be glorified.

BibleGateway.com Psalm 82
The Lord alone judges. Is he ever unjust? May it never be! In God's sovereignty everything happens for a reason. He turns all things for the good of those who know him. In the big picture the wicked will never triumph. Their suffering will be eternal. They have brought God's judgment on themselves. Lord I pray you reveal yourself to me today. Help me to know you and trust in you. Give me the strength to go throughout the day.

Psalm 81
Psalm 81:1-16 (ESV)
1 Sing aloud to God our strength; shout for joy to the God of Jacob!
2 Raise a song; sound the tambourine, the sweet lyre with the harp.
3 Blow the trumpet at the new moon, at the full moon, on our feast day.
4 For it is a statute for Israel, a rule of the God of Jacob.
5 He made it a decree in Joseph when he went out over the land of Egypt. I hear a language I had not known:
6 “I relieved your shoulder of the burden; your hands were freed from the basket.
7 In distress you called, and I delivered you; I answered you in the secret place of thunder; I tested you at the waters of Meribah. Selah
8 Hear, O my people, while I admonish you! O Israel, if you would but listen to me!
9 There shall be no strange god among you; you shall not bow down to a foreign god.
10 I am the Lord your God, who brought you up out of the land of Egypt. Open your mouth wide, and I will fill it.
11 “But my people did not listen to my voice; Israel would not submit to me.
12 So I gave them over to their stubborn hearts, to follow their own counsels.
13 Oh, that my people would listen to me, that Israel would walk in my ways!
14 I would soon subdue their enemies and turn my hand against their foes.
15 Those who hate the Lord would cringe toward him, and their fate would last forever.
16 But he would feed you with the finest of the wheat, and with honey from the rock I would satisfy you.”
Journal
1. The Lord must be praised.
2. God is patient with your rebellion
3. The very best is found in the presence of God.
The Lord must be praised (v1-4).
God is praised. We must do all that we have to worship him. Sing aloud! Blow the trumpet. The Lord is God alone. We praise the Lord Jesus for His joy and wondrous deeds.
God is patient with you rebellion (v6-15).
We see that when we rebel and reject God he will turn “them over to their stubborn hearts, to follow their own counsels.” (v12) What a frightful thing it might be to left to our own devices! Lord take us now and make us into your people. That we may not let our own ways destroy our relationship with you. The Lord will wait for you to finish fighting. The whole time you are in His hand He will not let go. We need to submit to him and make his ways our ways. “Oh, that my people would listen to me, that Israel would walk in my ways!” (v13)
The very best is found in the presence of God.(v10,16)
When we finally stop fighting the hold of God we see we can have the very “finest of the wheat” v16 No one will satisfy us except the Lord. He even says to open wide so that we can fill your mouth (v10)! The Lord is truly amazing and only he can make us happy. Come and taste that the Lord is good!

Psalm 80
Psalm 80:1-19 (ESV)
1 Give ear, O Shepherd of Israel, you who lead Joseph like a flock! You who are enthroned upon the cherubim, shine forth. 2 Before Ephraim and Benjamin and Manasseh, stir up your might and come to save us! 3 Restore us, O God; let your face shine, that we may be saved! 4 O LORD God of hosts, how long will you be angry with your people’s prayers? 5 You have fed them with the bread of tears and given them tears to drink in full measure. 6 You make us an object of contention for our neighbors, and our enemies laugh among themselves. 7 Restore us, O God of hosts; let your face shine, that we may be saved! 8 You brought a vine out of Egypt; you drove out the nations and planted it. 9 You cleared the ground for it; it took deep root and filled the land. 10 The mountains were covered with its shade, the mighty cedars with its branches. 11 It sent out its branches to the sea and its shoots to the River. 12 Why then have you broken down its walls, so that all who pass along the way pluck its fruit? 13 The boar from the forest ravages it, and all that move in the field feed on it. 14 Turn again, O God of hosts! Look down from heaven, and see; have regard for this vine, 15 the stock that your right hand planted, and for the son whom you made strong for yourself. 16 They have burned it with fire; they have cut it down; may they perish at the rebuke of your face! 17 But let your hand be on the man of your right hand, the son of man whom you have made strong for yourself! 18 Then we shall not turn back from you; give us life, and we will call upon your name! 19 Restore us, O LORD God of hosts! let your face shine, that we may be saved!

Psalm 79
BibleGateway.com Psalm 79
O Lord let us not think we are too far above the mistakes Israel made many years ago. Here in America we the slumbering body of Christ (if this paradox could really exist) have embraced the sins of our neighbors. Ignoring your ways and bring dishonor to your name. Lord forgive us and awaken your Spirit before we too must be "brought very low."(v8)
Lord awaken this slumbering church. If just half of the people that professed to know you followed your call the commission could be finished and we would enjoy the presence of our Savior here.
Lord rise up! Glorify your name in me. Make your name praised among the nations.

I love you and I pray that me and my house will serve you Lord. Not as though you needed to be served by human hands but that you recieve the glory of everything we do that honors you.

Psalm 77
BibleGateway.com Psalm 77
The Psalm begins with how when in trouble we should seek the Lord. What kind of trouble is the author in? He is praying "in the night" but his "soul refuses to be comforted"(v2). He is in some kind of dark place spiritually because his "spirit faints" when he meditates. God is keeping him awake and he is "so troubled" that he can't say a thing(v4).
How often have do we experience this time of dryness or emptiness? There is nothing you can say. God's love seems so far from you. What am I to do?
The Psalm isn't over. Is there something that can be done? Verse 10 says "Then I said, 'I will appeal to this, to the years of the right hand of the Most High.'"
We remember what God has done and who he is. How great and marvelous is the Lord! What is the result?
Verse 16:
"When the waters saw you, O God,
when the waters saw you, they were afraid;
indeed, the deep trembled."
When you are overcome by the world you are drowning but the waters are afraid of my God. They tremble at the sight of the most wonderful and awesome Lord.
At the end we praise God that his path was through the sea. That the hard times that God brings us through bring Glory to His Name and he will always jealously protect his name.
Lord, for your name sake please guide me through this life in a way that you alone receive all glory, honor and praise. May my name perish and yours endure forever and ever. Amen.

How how does God's wrath pile up. Yet our wicked generation ignores the Lord. There is real truth and there will be real judgment. The wrath of God will be all to real to those who have waged war against him.
Lord bring salvation to this earth. May your Kingdom be revealed and all that oppose you will bow and say, "Jesus is Lord".
Lord please help me to be patient in waiting. Knowing you patience is working for the benefit of those you have chosen. Thank you Jesus for loving me.

Psalm 74
BibleGateway.com Psalm 74
Most of the time we as humans wonder at God's time table. Why hasn't he done this yet? or How come this wickedness is still continuing?
The evil that fallen man has brought unto this world will one day cease. We who have been made alive in Christ living as aliens in this place long to see it all end. When will justice be given to all of God's enemies. We were once the enemy of God. He has reconciled us to Himself. When our eyes open we see the war going on. We join the battle through prayer. We ache to see the end of this struggle. We know the end and how it will come. The wonder of when is a battle of trust in Christ. Trust the Lord has the times and places perfectly set. Display that trust by looking forward to that day with eagerness.

25Whom have I in heaven but you?
And there is nothing on earth that I desire besides you.
26My flesh and my heart may fail,
but God is the strength of my heart and my portion forever.
As a follower of Jesus I have hope in heaven. I have the promise of the Lord in heaven. He is there for me interceding on my behalf. I want nothing else in this world but Jesus. Lord you are amazing and true. Your promise is hope to those who trust in you.
Please Lord Jesus help me to preservers until the end. I pray that today I will start and finish the day thinking about you and your love. Give me strength to complete what is necessary to glorify you today.
Thank you for being my Lord. I love you Jesus.

Lord may those that persecute the Church today be put to shame and confusion. Be quick to deliver your bride from those seeking her life.
If anyone is in trouble let them seek you and rejoice for God is Great! Most of all Lord, I need you more than anything. Deliver me each day from my inability to honor and glorify your name. Lord be magnified in me.
I can't wait to be in your presence. How long must we wait to see your glory exposed in full on this earth? Your timing is perfect Lord.

Psalm 69
BibleGateway.com Psalm 69
David is in distress because he has sinned in some way (v5). His enemies have started to move in for the kill. He first pleads with God that he knows exactly what he did and these people hate him without cause.
David then pleads that those who hope in the Lord will not also come under attack because of him. David is being made to suffer because of the Lord (v9-12). He asks for deliverance based on the goodness of the Lord (v13-17).
He prays for punishment to come to his enemies. Finally, David states he will praise the Lord with more than mere sacrifice (v31) and he prays that the people of God will rejoice in the Lord also.
Lord help me to pout out my heart to you. That my name will be foolish to the world for your sake. Make your name known to the nations. Delivery me from my faults so that your name will be glorified.
For the sake of your name I pray, Amen.

1.The Lord's power will come, His enemies will scatter, the righteous will be glad.
2.Praise God for His Glory, Sing of His wonderful deeds.
3.He delivered us from slavery.
4.His entry will be triumphant, it will be bigger and better than anything you can imagine.
5.He provides all we need.
6.It will not be good to have been an enemy of God.
7.Your power O Lord is amazing.
8.Finish, Blessed be God!
When we declare Blessed be God we are stating 2 facts I believe. First God is already Blessed, he is ultimately happy, all that he wills is done. Secondly it is telly us to do what blesses the Lord. Mainly bring Glory to Him.
Do what it takes to Bless the Lord. Lord please give the wisdom to us to bring Glory and Honor and Praise to your name. When we read your word excite us to action. Thank you for the pictures of your strength, righteousness, and glory. Glorify your name Lord! Be Blessed for eternity.

Psalm 67
Psalm 67
The Lord will be praised! We know for a fact that every tribe, tongue and nation will be present in heaven to Praise the King.
He is in control over all the nations. Back then and even today. Pray for political change for the sake of the Gospel. Pray for China to become free so that the Gospel of Jesus Christ could spread in the open. Pray for the softening of hearts in the Muslim world so the love of Christ can conquer the hate and violence in that region. Pray for reform in the "Western" world. So that wickedness will no longer be valued above holiness and righteousness.

Psalm 65
BibleGateway.com Psalm 65
This Psalm shows us 3 truths:
1. The Lord will be praised.
2. His deeds of righteousness ARE awesome.
3. Every provision comes from Him.
Now we can flip the thought process just slightly. Mostly we will praise what ever treats us rightly. Why is this different concerning Christ?
With men, we do praise those that perform in our interest. With Christ he deserves all praise even without doing a single act on our behalf. Sadly, we can never bring Him anything worthy of His majesty. Christ coming and dying on our behalf pays the price to enable us for praise.
Second problem is this: Does the Lord show us righteous deeds BECAUSE of our praise?
In the first answer we see that we are unable to praise Jesus without His Holy Spirit to change our lives. We never live in a contract of praise traded for provision or deeds of righteousness. God is the source of our praise and He is the source of all hope. In the end He gets all the glory.

Psalm 64
Psalm 64
Lord your strength and you power are perfect. Who could stand against you? Only man would presume you to be powerless. Involved in his own affairs to the point he has removed God completely from his life. O how wicked are we who sit in the thrown reserved for the creator and true King.
Our hope is that Jesus' Word is true and he will return and all men will see the marvelous light and then know they have rebelled against the King.
The punishment is just for our insurrection. Will sinful man see it that way once it comes time? Once the marvelous light of Jesus Christ in all his Glory appears on this world in this place. No man will plead not guilty. They will know their eternal punishment is correct and just. When they cry out no one will hear. Isolated and alone for eternity. Tormented by "what if" there will be no relief.
O Lord magnify your name today, bring your victory to this earth now is what we pray. We can no longer stand for you to be defamed in this way.

1. To earnestly seek God.
2. To be satisfied.
3. The Lord's power is real.
Oh, Lord I pray that I can earnestly seek you. That the words: thirst, longs and seeks will someday be used to describe how I followed Jesus.
Lord I pray that I can be satisfied in you above all things. That I will not trade a shadow for what is truly beautiful. Your glory is forever and this world is a breath. Lord make me to live for you glory on this day.
Lord we long for your show of power on this earth to make everything right. Lord keep us from taking your actions into our hands and leaving all vengeance to you and your appointed. Lord may no Christian take up arms to advance the Kingdom of Christ. May we never let the wicked desire for power to foul your name again. Protect your church from the corruption of this world so that your name will be glorified when your bride is pure and whole!

Psalm 61
Psalm 61
Our desire to be heard by God. We do not approach the throne of the Lord with demanding tone. We say, "Hear my cry, listen to my prayer." This places us in the correct relation to God from the very beginning. I am crying out with what is in my life to God and you O Lord are the only one with power. You are God and I am not.
Our greatest desire is to finally be finished with the wretched world. To be in the safety of the creator. To live in the home of the King as adopted sons to forever delight in His presence. I long O Lord Jesus to be with you and to see true satisfaction in my life. To no longer confuse mere amusement for true pleasure. To be so joyous that when I say "I can sing of you love forever; or I am never going to stop praising your name." It will be 100% true.
Lord please help us to long for your true satisfation daily and to forsake this world's notion of lasting pleasure as insufficient to bring glory to the All Mighty Creator and King. Amen.
