Psalm 119

Psalm 119 v105-128

Lord cause me by your grace to walk in your ways. Make me to despise all that is evil so that it will become awful in my sight. Lord by your grace I can be close to you. The desire of my heart is to know you more each day. Lately I have been overwhelmed with the demands of this world. Make your glory known in my life that the distractions of this world will have no sway on me. Thank you Lord that you are in full control and it has not been left in my hands to determine my justification.

Lord by your grace alone I can keep your word. Please take me a woeful sinner and have mercy on me. Make me into the man you want me to be. Do not let me selfish ways interfere with enjoying the beauty of Christ.

Lord I pray I may remain in your word. That I will not rest on my own idols. Please Lord let my joy be only in you. May I never put you together with anything else. Help me to learn your word because you are good. Do not let the actions of other deter me from your word. Let me delight in your law. Suffering brings reliance upon the Lord and helps us to know that you value your children's sanctification rather than their comfort. You Lord are better than any pleasure or wealth this world could ever imagine.

I love you Lord. May I never put anyting with you in my affections. Help me trust you to be the only treasure of my heart. The idols in my life of expectations of how things should happen need to be crushed. Let me only hope in your promise. You are Holy, make me holy.
