The root of sin to to take God out of his rightful place. Give him the glory due his name. We often let things get between us and God. We fall down and call glory to our jobs, cars, houses, and children. As we see here God's voice can rock the world. He can break apart entire forests.
Have a picture of God on the throne. He alone is there and deserves to be. You cannot put anything else there and still call God your Lord.
